About Kristi Lee

Creator, Narrator, Executive Producer

Kristi Lee created Canadian True Crime as a personal creative passion project at the end of 2016—never expecting that it would gain an audience.

Born and raised in New Zealand until the age of 13, Kristi immigrated with her family to the UK and then to Brisbane, Australia, where she spent her teenage years and early adulthood. In 2009, she moved to Canada with her (Australian) husband and became a Canadian citizen in 2015. She lives with her family in the Greater Toronto Area.

Kristi has a business marketing degree and a 20-year career in marketing and corporate communications in Australia and Canada. She started working full-time on Canadian True Crime in early 2020 and remains the primary researcher, writer, producer and narrator.
